Avocado Toast




Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 4 slices of whole grain bread
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, feta cheese, red pepper flakes, poached eggs

Instructions:

1.       Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.

2.       Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth but still slightly chunky.

3.       Toast the slices of bread until golden brown and crispy.

4.       Spread the mashed avocado evenly onto each slice of toast.

5.       Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6.       Top with sliced tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.

7.       Optionally, serve with poached eggs on top for added protein and flavor.

Cooking Time: 10 minutes
