 Honey Nut Cookies



  • Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup honey
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup chopped mixed nuts (such as pecans, walnuts, and hazelnuts)
  • Instructions:
    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and honey until light and fluffy.
    3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
    4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
    5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
    6. Stir in the chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
    7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
    8. Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a spoon.
    9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
    10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy these delicious honey nut cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite hot beverage!
